Core Visual Study

With the last two weeks I have been working on getting my core visual project up and running. I first went into the city and walked around trying to find anything that would take my interest,the problem  was too many things did. Until I watched a dvd in college I wasn't sure what I was doing, the dvd was about the city of London and it followed a group of people that worked and lived there, it was while I was watching this that I realised there were different types of signs everywhere. So I went around the city with my camera and took as many photos of signs as I could and here are a few of these.

 

Next I went to the libriary where I found some interesting books these included Concertual Art by Tony Godfrey, Cites of Tomorrow by Peter Hall and Contemporary Painting, I also got a dvd by Gavin Turk.I Went online and found quite a few artists that have used signs in different ways in their art.

Then I started to do some work on a few of my ideas and at the weekend I started a large painting, the following is some images of this .
